My Favorite Photos
Welcome to the Skibbie picture page. This is a random assortment of photos that I dug up or pulled off the refrigerator.

Picture # 1
Supergroup

Picture # 2
Sherry & Paul Gong, Dave & Candice Wilkins and Steve & Shiela. Musicians with their patient and understanding wives. Oh yeah, Sherry rocks on the clarinet. A real class act.
Picture # 3
Guitar-Playin' Fool
Picture #4
This is the 1996 Takamine EN-40C, sort of a precursor to the Santa Fe series guitars. Mine has a solid cedar top and mahogany sides and back. Cedar has the greatest warmth in tone that I've heard. A very playable guitar that make you want to play it more.
Picture #5
"Halloween Night"

Halloween night, I got several musician types to get together to play worship songs. Joanie and Marty Martin let us set up in their front yard where we played for an hour or so. The cops didn't tell us to turn down, so it went pretty well that night. The musicians in the photo are, from left: Phil Ureno (percussion), Doug Wilkins(bass gtr), Arianne Brown(vocals), Dave Wilkins(drums), and me (vocals & gtr).

Rare, Old MUSTARD SEEDS Photo, circa 1995

Yeah, I know-- I'm a bit nostalgic.
This picture is from the days of the Mustard Seeds. We played at a frat party that night. Frat guys aren't real particular on how good a band plays-- good thing, too. Just kidding.
Left to right: Paul Gong on rhythm guitars, Doug Wilkins playing his bass, Barton Keeler on lead vocals, me on lead/rhythm guitar and vocals-- you can't see our drummer 'cause he's got his head stuck in his drum kit.
What can I tell you, he's an artist.

Nehemiah Network, January 2000.

This group was formed through Fresno Leadership Foundation. The Network is led by Gen-X'ers who've caught the Lord's vision for restoration of the City of Fresno and its people. Shiela and I have been involved with the group since it's formation in 1998.

Ignore this paragraph below-- I can't figure out how to get rid of it. There used to be a photo with it. Oh well.

Last June, the Oregon Skibbies visited the Fresno Skibbies and their new home. Of course, they didn't just play tennis. Oh, no. Mom went to a nursery to buy some flowers and shrubs for the backyard and, in 95 degree heat, proceeded to landscape the back yard. Meanwhile, Dad helped Shiela and I put in new sub-floor in the kitchen. Maybe they'll come down again to admire their work. Shiela and I do.
